Wow, beautiful indeed! What a crisp capture, is this taken during dawn or dusk? It seems like the sun is low in the sky. Whichever it is, the shadows do so much to accent the swan. Is this their usual stance when in the water? I know they are always depicted as such and often in photos this is how you see them, with their wings elevated like that, but I have no personal experience with them, so I was wondering if you knew It makes sense that they would want to hold them in this manner to keep them dry, but it also seems like it might be a threat display or somesuch too. Well, great shot just the same, nice job

I wish you could see the expression on my face right now - kind of a soft wonder, with a little wobble in the lip. It's an incredibly beautiful picture - I'm just such a mush when it comes to shots like this. Not that there are many shots like this. Look at me - I'm babbling. I'm not even going to say anything else. Sigh.
