This Dipper was very photo friendy really, having never seen or photographed them before i had a impression they would be very shy and easily disturbed. But i was very wrong=p

I first encountered these whilst waiting for a grey heron several weeks ago. They are beautiful and remain in a spot for several minutes. Unfortunately not close enough for me but I can wait :) I was happy to just sit and watch them.

I have had only had one encounter with them and i will certainly photograph them again=p i found if i was slow and delibarate in my approach they would carry on about there buisiness
quite content with me being there. the most striking thing i noticed was the flight and wing beats, i would love to capture thats side of them:wave:
Just curious - you seen any Grey Wagtails in the area? They certainly share the same territory here in Devon and have similar behavioural habits in that they flit from rock to rock in the water. Now they are beautiful too or maybe I'm just biased towards feathers :P

Yes i have seen some Grey Wagtails!!!!!!! i have been trying to capture them all summer on and off. especially when they chase and fight in midair, that would be something special to capture that=p
i will submit one soon.
