Thanks!!! yes a big fight indeed, very aggressive. probably down to them all getting ready to nest, the was also a pair stood on
one they have started.

Was it a pair or the females watching - they do watch, so do the geese females.
Do you have any goose fight shots? - pretty cool too how they wrap their necks.
yes it is all about nesting and having enough food for the young.

Im not sure of who's fighting who LOL, there was so much happening. I do have some geese fighting too i think i might
have the neck locking aswell. yes things are really hotting up everywhere and every species.

Heh I noticed it yesterday - the ducks are all separated out in pairs, on the back pond, not in the huge groups of the Winter. The swans seems to be working on nests. Today it is raining and washing away the snow.

Monday, when it snowed, I put out extra seed in my yard and had a yard full of grackles, they must have just returned because I had not seen any so far. Every once in a while one would puff up all of it's feathers, look up at the snow coming down, and scream at it. The cats were thrilled. LOL I couldn't get a shot because as soon as they heard a sound they flew - several times. I shot through the window but they did not come out well.
